Lawyer who fought against mandatory oath reacts to Alberta seeking Supreme Court ruling

The Alberta government wants the Supreme Court of Canada to decide the constitutionality of a rule requiring new lawyers to swear an oath of allegiance to the monarch. In December, Alberta's Court of Appeal sided with Sikh lawyer Prabjot Singh Wirring, who has been fighting the mandatory requirement since June 2022.
